A Comparative Study of the Associative Meanings of the Plant Words in Chinese and English

Both Chinese and English are rich in plant words.Due to their different culture backgrounds and social customs,the associative meanings of the same plant words in Chinese and English are different,which have contributed to their respective plant culture.Employing contrastive analysis on the associative meanings,the paper has discussed the Characteristics of the different plant culture.To be ware of such differences will be helpful for cross-culture communications between the two people.
