Some Reflections on Vocational English Teaching in the Age of Information Technology

This paper makes a detailed analysis of English teaching in higher vocational schools.Only on the basis of clear understanding of students' background and psychological characteristics,the effective teaching can be performed.While creating a friendly atmosphere and effective interactive relationship between the teacher and students are the guarantee of successful teaching and learning.The new communicative technology can be used to foster the well communication among them in order to cultivate students' autonomous learning ability.Teachers should turn the teaching process into an open and moving system as well as guide students to make good use of English websites.Meanwhile,English flash programs and other resources can be used to make learning more interesting.
