Investigation and Research on the Pupils' Self-RegulatedLearning Ability and Parental Rearing Styles

To explored the pupils' self-regulated learning ability,their rearing styles and the relationship between the two to provide supporting information for family education,questionnaires were used to investigate students in grade three and five from a key primary school in the provincial party committee community.The results show that the self-regulated learning ability of students in grade three is significantly higher than that of grade five,and there are no obvious gender differences;girls enjoyed more positive rearing styles than boys,and the students in grade five enjoyed more positive parenting from father while their mothers adopt almost the same rearing style towards children from different grades;Parental rearing styles could forecast the children's self-regulated learning ability.The conclusion was that self-regulated learning ability is related to the parental rearing styles.Therefore,the parents are supposed to regulate their method of education and parenting to contribute to the development of the children's learning ability.
