An Investigation on the Popularity of Mandarin in Secondary Vocational Schools in Liangshan Minority Areas——Taking Liangshan National Normal School as An Example

Liangshan National Normal School is currently the only comprehensive secondary vocational school that equipped with teachers' professional,the liberal arts,the sciences,the cadres training,professional evaluation,teacher training,adult education,etc. This research adopts the way of simple random sampling to investigate the Mandarin popularity situation in this school. Analysis of data showed that nationality has significant impact on mother tongue. There are gender differences about the everyday language in a family. Different students support using the corresponding teaching mode in different primary and secondary schools. The use of mandarin in science course has no teaching mode differences. There is no gender difference in the attitude about the use of Minority language and Chinese language bilingual signs in minority nationality public places. The attitude of promoting mandarin has no ethnic differences in ethnic areas.
