A Study on the Parent-Child Reading of Migrant Families——A Case Study of Private Tangwan Primary School

This study takes Shanghai Private Tangwan Primary School as an example,to investigate the current situation of parentchild reading education of migrant families. The results showed that education level of migrant workers is low,parent-child reading ability is insufficient,family reading atmosphere is not strong,lack of environmental support for parent-child reading,parents have higher recognition of parent-child reading,but lack of social support. The research suggests that we should strengthen the combination of home and school,increase the construction of parent-child reading hardware facilities,and construct the "alternative parent-child reading team",so as to improve the reading level of children of migrant workers.
