Evaluation of World First-class Universities: Reflections on Ranking and Index

To have a world-class university is an important manifestation of a country standing in the forefront of the world,and it is also an indispensable intellectual source and cradle of talents in the development of the world economy,politics and science. Therefore,the evaluation of the construction of the world first-class university has become the focus of this research field. How to treat and rationally use the evaluation results of the world's leading universities,how to establish a scientific,effective,fair and impartial evaluation index system,has a very positive significance for the construction of world-class universities. This paper,based on the analysis of the role of the ranking of world class universities and its influence from the macro and micro level,selects the standard reference object from the existing analysis of the world first-class university so as to solve some problems in the process of building a world-class university,hopefully it can provide an effective way for China's double top construction project.
