The Supply-side Reform of Teacher Education: Problems and Solutions——Outlines of the Celebration of the 32nd Teachers' Day and 2016 China Teacher Development Forum

Teacher education should help the teachers to adapt to the needs of the times. Attendants of 2016 teacher development forum find that at present,there are many problems in the supply side of teacher education,such as overcapacity,decline of the dominant role of teachers colleges,low quality of normal students,separation of theory and practice,disequilibrium of overall arrangement of teacher team and post training out of practice. Further reform should adhere to the professional development of teachers reform; innovate teacher training model,establish GUS three linkage mechanism; and improve the teachers' entry standards,set up the"the three carriages"of a secondary professional college institutional quality certification,teacher education professional quality certification and teacher qualification.
