An Empirical Study on the University Teachers' Professional Spirit:Based on CCSS

University Teachers' Professional Spirit( UTPS) which works as the dynamic system of college teachers' professional development has been brought to the attention of the society from all walks of life. The connotation and denotation of UTPS are put forward through literature analysis method,including its evaluation standard. Then the paper uses correlation and descriptive statistics to analyze the CCSS survey data of a comprehensive university( L) in Lanzhou. The results show that the positive correlation between UTPS and the Effective Teaching Practice( ETP) is revealed; that the status quo is not good. The reasons are that teachers in universities and colleges in China got"congenital deficiency "; that teachers' access system needs to be perfected great importance is attached to the scientific research rather than teaching and so on. It's the positive approach of promoting UTPS to reform from the first step to overcome the"congenital deficiency",to motivate teachers via teaching reform,for teachers to strengthen their self-cultivation.
