The Exploration and Practice of the Reform of College Physics Course under the Condition of Reducing Class Hours

Based on the current situation of the College Physics curriculum in our country,this paper analyzes the outstanding problems in the teaching of the physics course of the engineering university after the reduction of teaching hours by taking Chengdu University as an example. The exploration and practice of teaching reform is carried out under the guidance of Connectivism learning theory. In the aspect of teaching content,reduce duplicate content to middle school and highlight new ideas,appropriately reduce the mathematical derivation of the laws and focus on physical thinking,properly increase the content of the combination of professional courses,engineering practice and life experience. As to teaching methods,we use the analogy teaching method,equivalent replacement method,case teaching method and problem driven method and so on. In the respect of examination system,we should establish an effective mechanism to supervise and motivate the learning process and learning effect.
