Application of matching pursuits to seismic inversion

Hydrocarbon-bearing zone with pore configuration development and lower wave impedance,is able to inverse accurately the impedance information of a geological body wave and to some degree,provide the basis for the hydrocarbon detection of underground rocks.Matching pursuit,which is based on the Ricker wave atoms library,can sparsely decompose the seismic signal.In this way,it will achieve impedance inversion of high-precision wave in the subsurface geological body.This process has been proved to be true through model trial.Besides,MP,in general,can still reflect the relative size of horizon and coefficient whenλ/4tunes between two layers.By calculating the actual seismic data,the authors think that MP algorithm is also applicable to the actual data and the result is consistent with the actual drilling.
