A MODEL FOR SPLINTERY SLIP-NAPPE AND A-SUBDUCTION OF EAST QINLING OF OROGENIC BELT

Since the formation of East Qinling composite mountain chain due to B-subduction and collision between North China Plate and Yangzi Plate,tectonic movement of this region has never been still,and A-subduction and great slip-nappe has occured. On the basis of analysis of geology of the terrene and two-dimensional velocity of the earth's crust, the slip-nappe structure of East Qinling orogenic zone is studied,and a model of A-subduction of this region is suggested. It is considered that there are five or six separate-slips, several large scale nappe structures and two great A-subduction zones in this region. The A-subduction is characterized by "two wedge cleaving bamboo".
