Corrosion Inhibition by KA-01 and TU for Carbon Steel A_3 in Phosphoric Acid

KA-01 is an organic corrosion inhibitor of Mannich's base synthetized in laboratory.The inhibitory property of KA-01 and TU (Thiourea) for carbon steel A3 in 15% and 28%H3PO4 is evaluated with the static corrosion experiments and electrochemical measurement. It showsthat the corrosion inhibition of KA-01 and TU in 15% and 28%H3PO4 at 30℃ and 90℃ is quitegood,but is much better when KA-01 and TU are mixed in the experiments.The electrochemicalmeasurement illustrates that KA-01 and TU are anode controlling inhibitors while their mixturedemonstrates the characteristics of the mixed cathode/anode controlling inhibitors.
