Scaling Control Technique Study of Wells in Jiangsu Oilfield

This paper describes the mechanisms of scale formation in W2-block of Jiangsu Oilfield and the methods for scale control using down-hole inhibitor squeeze treatment.Experimental study has been conducted for selection of scale inhibitors in terms of chemical compatibility,efficiency of scale inhibition,and good adsorption and desorption characteristics for long squeeze life.The process for field application of the squeeze treatment has been designed,and the field trial results indicate that the squeeze technique is effective for scale control in oil production wells,with increasing production rate and prolonged pump inspection cycle.
