Implication of Relevance Theory on College English Reading Teaching Mode

This paper attempts to use relevance theory as a guide to study the mode of college English teaching practice based on the problems in this area.It analyses the current difficulties encountered by non-English majors when they read English materials.And accordingly it proposes to construct students' relevant cognitive environment and inspire them to explore the cohesion in articles to improve their English reading proficiency.
