Enlightenment of Post-method Pedagogy on Intensive Reading Teaching for English Major

With the prosperity of English education,English teaching has entered the post-method era,which is an active,open and flexible teaching concept. Under such circumstances,the present paper,first of all,generalizes the problems in intensive reading teaching for English major. And then,it explores the enlightenment of this pedagogy to English teaching,which includes: preparing thought-provoking questions carefully; choosing suitable texts for students to practice; using multi-media cautiously. Finally,it emphasizes that there is no one universal method for every teachers. Therefore,teachers should keep on exploring their own practical and suitable methods in their teaching.
