Experiment of Alfalfa Irrigated with Shallow Buried Drip in Altay Xinjiang

Field irrigation experiments with fixed irrigation frequency and changed irrigation quota were carried out to ascertain proper irrigation program of alfalfa irrigated with shallow buried drip irrigation(SBDI)in Altay Xinjiang.The results showed that:The hay yield and water use efficiency of 45 mm and 52.5 mm irrigation quota of SBDIT were significantly higher than that of flood irrigation(FI)(P0.05).Water use efficiency(WUE)of SBDIT reached the highest(0.94 kg·m-3)when irrigation quota was 45 mm.Appropriate irrigation quota of alfalfa irrigated with SBDI nearby the experimental site should be 45 mm,and appropriate irrigation frequency should be 7~10 days.
