STUDY ON CONTENT CHANGES OF PLASMA TUMOR NECROSIS FACTOR IN ACUTE HEPATIC INJURY RATS

Su Liwen Department of Pharmacology of Tradional Chinese Medical formulae
Plasma tumor necrosis factor(TNF),serum bilirubin(SB)and alanine aminotransferase(ALT)levels were determined and pathological features of acute hepatic injury were oberved in acute hepatic injury modle rats(A group)induced by D- galactosamine(D-Glan)and in rats of the B and C group which were respectively protected by hepatocyte growing factor(HGF)and Chinese herbal medicine hepatic disease I(HD I)before injecting D-Glan.The TNF,SB and ALT levels in the A group were significantly high as compared with those in the B and C group. The hepatic pathological feactures showed picement necrosis in the A group, while necrosis of a relatively small number of hepatic cells in the B and C group. The results reveal that the TNF is an important midium inducing acute hepatic injury, and HGF and HD I can protect hepatocytes and relieve hepatocellar necrosis.
