CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF DETECTING β_2-MG IN BLOOD OF DIABETES MELLITUS PATIENTS

Objective:To detect theβ_2-MG content in blood of diabetes mellitus(DM)patients and investigate its significance for early diagnosis of DM kidney function impairment.Methods:43 DM patients with different course of disease were randomly divided into 2 groups according to course.Theβ_2-MG content in blood and kidney function of patients were respectively detected.Results:There had no obvious difference about the kidney function between diabetic nephropathy(DN)patients and DM patients.Theβ_2-MG content of DN patients was obviously higher than DM patients(P0.05).Conclusions:β_2-MG can be acted as significant level to monitor pathogenetic condition of DM and prevent complications,and has high clinical value to decrease DM complications.
