EXPRESSIONS AND CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF DPD AND KI-67 IN COLON CANCER

AI Xiao-qing;JIA Xi-hua;Chengde Medical College;
Objective:To investigate the expression and clinical significance of dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase(DPD) and Ki-67 in colon cancer.Methods:Immunohistochemical stain was used to detect the expression of DPD and Ki-67 in 70 cases colon cancer and 30 cases adjacent normal tissues,and the relationship between DPD,Ki-67 and clinicopathologic features of colon cancer was also analyzed.Results:The positive expression rate of DPD and Ki-67 in colon cancer were obviously higher than adjacent normal tissues(P0.05).In colon cancer,the expression of DPD and Ki-67 was irrelevant to sex,age,size of tumour and differentiation degree(P0.05);but related to pTNM stage and infiltration depth(P0.05).In colon cancer,the Ki-67 expression was positively related to DPD expression(p=0.283,P0.05).Conclusions:DPD and Ki-67 maybe involve the development of colon cancer together,and their higher expression maybe concerned with poor prognosis of colon cancer.
