The Comparison of LRBF-DQ and LMAPS

Since the global RBFs are used for RBFs based meshless methods,the resultant coefficient matrix may suffer singular,dense and even ill-conditioned problems which restrict our ability to solve large-scale problems.To circumvent the issue mentioned above,two localized meshless methods: the localized method of approximate particular solutions(LMAPS) and local radial basis-functioned differential quadrature method(LRBF-DQ),have been developed.In these two methods,only a few points are used in the support domain.By reformulating the local formulation in global form,a sparse system of equations is constructed.At last we apply these two methods to solve problem in irregular domain.Numerical results have shown that these two methods are all efficient with high accuracy.
