Influence of Related Components Strength on Roof Crush Resistance

Based on the Toyota Yaris vehicle models,the roof crush resistance performance was simulated and analyzed under different thickness of A pillar,B pillar,roof rail,header rail and cross member by using LS-DYNA software. The simulation results were analyzed using three spline curve interpolation with Matlab. The curve of roof crush resistance performance was obtained with the material thickness changing of the components and the corresponding influence of components on roof crush resistance performance was analyzed.
