Research on the Influence of Crack to the Electricity-Acoustic Characteristics of the Piezoelectric Ceramic Embedded in Concrete

Piezoelectric smart concrete module is an intelligent unit using the principle of electronic-to-sound transform.It ' s a kind of concrete module with the piezoelectric ceramic disc embedded in it.Such module can make up the shortcoming of the traditional nondestructive testing which can ' t be used for long time detection.But the crack in the concrete may weaken the received signal of piezoelectric embedded concrete nondestructive testing alert module.In order to enhance the received signals created by the embedded piezoelectric ceramic disc and get rich ingredients ultrasonic spectrum to analyze the influence of crack to the electricity-acoustic characteristics,a high voltage power ultrasonic launch module was designed.The ultrasonic launch module can generate a negative sharp pulse to stimulate piezoelectric ceramic disc.Ultrasonic spectrum within 50 MHz can be obtained.Experiments showed that the amplitude of the received signal decreased with the increasing distance between the crack and piezoelectric ceramic disc.While the delay between the drive signal and the received signal increases with the increasing distance between the crack and piezoelectric ceramic disc.
