Research of a new type rotational viscosimeter which based on grating sensor

ZOU Si-jing,XU Li-sheng(School of Geosciences and Info-Physics,Central South University,Changsha 410083,China)  
To meet the accurate measurement for liquid viscosity,a new rotational viscosimeter is designed.This instrument uses grating sensor to measure the rotational angle of the inner tank and the rotational speed of the outer tank,the software is developed with C51,which can be used to control the automatic operation of the system and complete data collection and processing.Experimental results show that this instrument has high precision,when measuring Newton and non-Newtonian fluid,the rheological curve drawn automaticly is nearly consistent with the rheological curve drawn by hand using the ordinary six speed rotational viscosimeter,the rotational speed is controlled extensively,and it is convenient and has good stability.
