Research on the accuracy of vehicle location in GPS/DR/MM integrated navigation

The mode of GPS/DR integration and the principles and methods of map matching are introduced,and two methods of matching vehicle position to road segment are discussed in the paper.One is employing the map database ,the other is projecting GPS to road .A method for improving the accuracy of vehicle location on road segment is proposed from the theory point of view, and its high accuracy is verified by formula. The results show that the uncertainty in the vehicle position estimation is decreased by combining the two methods which this provides theory foundation for the integrated navigation.
