The integration and flight experiment of UAV remote sensing system

Unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)have been applied to military fields in last decades.In order to introduce UAV to the civil applications,the UAV remote sensing system(UAVRSS),which includes flight planning,task controlling,data acquiring,data transmission,data compression and decompression,as well as image display sub-systems,is briefly introduced in this paper.And then,several flight experiments are carried out to acquire image data under different conditions.Finally,the data from the UAV and remote sensing camera are analyzed to evaluate the quality of the flight experiments.The results show that UAVRSS is a new,efficient and flexible means to collect remote sensing data.
