A review on realistic building 3D reconstruction using LiDAR and imagery

Realistic 3D modeling is a challenging problem and has been a research topic for many years.It includes two aspects:3D geometry model reconstruction and surface texture recovery.Focusing on realistic building 3D reconstruction integrating LiDAR and imagery,the paper concentrates on the data processing algorithms,strategies,and methods.It summarizes various synthetic approach of LiDAR and imagery,and makes a comprehensive survey on related researches from the two aspects:3D geometry model reconstruction and surface texture recovery.
