The simple analysis of the application of Chinese digital aerial camera to western mapping in China

Due to abominable environment,especially the lagging behind mapping technical level,there is not fundamental terrain data for western China up to now.Aerial surveying is the main method for mapping.This paper introduces the key technology of digital aerial camera(SWDC) with Chinese property right and the feasibility of the application of SWDC in western China mapping.The results of La-Sa air surveying test indicated that the horizontal error of air surveying is less than 0.4m,the vertical error is less than 0.9m,and relative elevation error is less than 1/10000 with condition of the ground sampling distant of 1m and 1 ground control point in test area.The precision is up to the surveying and mapping criterion of the scale of 1∶10 000.
