Fuzzy evaluation for the function of public green space based on RS and GIS

Fine evaluation model is beneficial to public green space planning and management due to its important ecological and social function.Two indexes,public green space per person and public green space service radius,are used to evaluate its quality,and which cannot reflect its ecological and social function.In this paper,four factors,percentage of greenery coverage,size of area,ratio of community area inside service radius,ratio of road area inside service radius of each public green space,were chosen according to public green space function characteristic and evaluation requirement.Taian,Shandong Province,was taken as study area and RS supervised classification and ArcGIS spatial analysis methods were used to acquire factors data from SPOT5 image.Fuzzy multi-level synthetic evaluation was used to evaluate the public green space of entire urban region.The results showed that the synthetic grade of ecological and social function of public green space for Taian is 77.449,which leads to a fine quality grade according to the evaluation standard.
