Mathematic morphology-based building edge detection under Matlab platform

For better using of the LIDAR data,this article studies the method of edge detection.It introduces the LIDAR system,and LIDAR data processing flowchart.The depth image is generated with LIDAR data.Mathematic morphology-based building edge detection under Matlab platform is performed.Comparing with Log operator and Candy operator methods,it concludes that morphology method has better results.The edges have less breakpoints,and are more continuous,so is more conducive to use.
