Residential area extraction from remote sensing image based on rotation and translation invariant texture feature

A remote sensing image residential area extracting method based on Radon transformation and histogram of coefficient of wavelet transform was presented in this paper.First,the texture image was translated by Radon transform to convert the rotation and translation to translation in different directions,then the wavelet transform was used for the Radon transform of texture image,and at last,the histogram of coefficient of wavelet transform was used to segment the texture as rotation and translation invariant feature.Experimental results showed that good residential area extraction results could be acquired by the method.
