Application of polynomial curved surface model in GPS height fitting

The GPS survey forming a Elevation System is the GPS Geodetic Height system which takes reference ellipsoid as the datum plane;and the elevation system of China is the normal height system which takes the quasigeoid as the datum plane.The two are not always parallel,so it needs to transform Geodetic Height to normal height system,that is calculating the height anomaly.This paper focused on two and three polynomial fitting in polynomial fitting methods.By analysising these two common polynomial fitting model theory,deriving the solution process,based on Microsoft Visual C ++ 6.0 platform,polynomial fitting model program was developed.It studied the method of assessing the accuracy and analyzed and comparised the fitting models.Then calculating the Huludao City to arrive at a conclusion that the accuracy of cubic is better than the qnadratic surface;the fitting accuracy can meet the standard of level survey and can apply in the actual project to replace the level survey of the fourth order.
