Dynamic RS monitoring and analysis of the thermal environments in Beijing urban area and the Olympic Park

By using multi-source and multi-scale data such as MODIS,ASTER and TM,the remote sensing and GIS spatial analysis technology,the paper investigated the changes of UHI in the urban area of Peking and the Olympic Park from the macro and micro perspective during 2003 to 2008.At the same time,it also researched the relationshi Pbetween the UHI and the Underlying(greenbelt system and water system).Studies showed that although the heat island intensity had a degree of oscillation,the whole year showed a downward trend from the macro perspective.From the micro perspective,in AM the relationshi Pbetween the heat island intensity of Peking Urban area and the area of vegetation or water was close,but at the other time of a day it was on the contrary.The Olympic Forest Park and the large-scale green of the Central District played a significant role in weakening the UHI of the Olympic Park.The average surface temperature of the Olympic Park is 2 degrees lower than the average surface temperature of Stadium District.
