Noise removing algorithm of LiDAR point clouds based on TIN smoothing rules

According to the analysis of the limitations of some traditional algorithms,such as moving average algorithm,signal analysis in frequency domain,and considering the spatial distribution of LiDAR point clouds,the paper proposed a noise removing algorithm of LiDAR point clouds based on TIN smoothing rules.In this approach,a TIN was created from point clouds firstly and topological relations were constructed quickly.And then,it began to detect noise by using some presupposed smoothing rules and outputted valid points.At last,some experiments were carried out for raw strip data.The result showed that the algorithm could detect discrete noise very sensitively and it would be useful to improve the quality of LiDAR data.
