Highly precise positioning without GCPs using ADS40 images from two flight levels

ADS40 which is integrated with POS is a kind of three-line-scanner CCD digital airborne sensor and widely used in photogrammetry in recent decades.Because of the POS,ADS40 greatly reduces the dependence on the amount of GCP.Although,the accuracy of the aerial triangulation using ADS40 images without GCP is comparatively high,it is still difficult to fulfill the needs of large-scale and highly precise mapping.The common method to improve the accuracy of the ADS40 is to import small amount of GCPs and use self-calibrated bundle block adjustment.According to the characteristic of ADS40,a method which uses the ADS40 images from two flight levels to triangulate was proposed to achieve highly precise mapping without GCPs in the paper.
