A method for automatic stitching of UAV video frames

A method for automatic stitching of UAV video frames was proposed in this paper,in order to solve problems of automatic acquisition and low contrast and poor color readability. First,the designated overlapping degree of video frames was automatically extracted,based on the theory of phase correlation and the formula for automatic extraction. Then the overlapping area matching and stitching were done with the improved SURF feature matching algorithm. The experimental results showed that this method could realize automatic acquisition and rapid stitching of video frames.
