Sea ice monitoring based on brightness temperature data of HJ satellite

This paper studied on sea ice monitoring using HJ satellite multispectral data and thermal infrared data for Bohai sea ice disaster in China.The authors analyzed and investigated the algorithm for brightness temperature,and structured the model on brightness temperature suited for HJ satellite thermal infrared sensor parameters,then inversed brightness temperature parameters using the model.According to the Bayes classification criteria,the threshold of sea ice and sea water classified was determined by ice and water brightness temperature distribution curve nodal.Finally the result of extraction with brightness temperature was compared with that of extraction with visual interpretation HJ-CCD data.The actual results showed that the method of extracting sea ice information using brightness temperature data could be adaptive,high accuracy and practical.The result would support to sea-ice disaster monitoring daily.
