Discussion on monitoring method of reference point and axis offset of VLBI antenna

The monitoring of the reference point and axis offset of VLBI antenna with high precision is of importance to the improvement of the determination precision of station coordinates as well as to the reduction precision of astrometric and geodetic VLBI observations.The nowadays common monitoring method of VLBI antenna would occupy the effective time of operation of the telescope,the efficiency of the monitoring and the precision of determined parameters are low.In the paper,the concept that monitoring VLBI antenna based on parameterized modeling of the antenna rotation was expected to perform all-weather and fully automatic monitoring of the antenna without any interruption of normal observation operation of the telescope.Some representative mathematical models of antenna rotation were discussed,and some insights and analysis concerning the construction of observation equation,the selection of unknown parameters and the application of constraint conditions were presented,and finally the result of data simulation analysis proved the validity of the method.
