A review on application of remote sensing technology in main food crop yield estimation

Based on the existing research in yield assessment,the paper analyzed the application status of remote sensing,and researched the progress of estimation models in the field of food crop yield estimation,including crop climate forecast model,genetic algorithm combined with neural network model,inversion model based on human-computer,the county yield estimation model based on decision tree classification,CERES_Wheat model based on the shuffled complex evolution(SCE_UA)method and radar yield estimation model.The result concluded that both the key technology of remote sensing and the selection of model could provide important technological support to improve the accuracy of crop yield estimation.Finally,it prospected the potentials of remote sensing technologic development and the agricultural informatization,and pointed out that consolidating remote sensing and computer technology to develop automation systems,and promoting the integration of Internet of Things and remote sensing technology would be the trends of further study.
