A method for extracting road skeleton lines by taxi trajectory data

Method of extracting road information by taxi GPS track data was researched in this article.The method is that line buffer was generated by angular bisector algorithm firstly,and then the road skeleton line was extracted from the buffer by the point level cutting midpoint line.This method could well describe the majority of road structure with its rapid,simple,practical properties.Experiment was carried out by comparing the data from Kunming taxi with the image data,and result proved that the road skeleton line could be consistent with the images.
