DEM interpolation method based on CSRBF and geo-statistics

In order to solve the problem of reasonably setting the compactly supported radial in DEM interpolation generated by Compactly Supported Radial Basis Function(CSRBF),a DEM interpolation method based on CSRBF combined with geo-statistics theory was proposed in the paper.The times of Variogram in Geo-statistics were used to measure the strength of spatial correlation,and the times of Variogram as compactly supported radial of CSRBF made the coefficient matrix was stably solved with positive definite,sparse and zonal distribution,finally the DEM with high precision was constructed.Taking a certain area elevation data as an example,the experimental results showed that the proposed method could be a reliable DEM interpolation with high accuracy after the cross-validation verification.
