Experimental study on microwave radiation features of corn in different growing seasons

Aiming at the imperfection of the experimental schemes on microwave detection of vegetation growth,the paper presented an experimental scheme to mainly investigate the features of microwave radiation during the growth of corn as well as observe the microwave inversion of Leaf Area Index(LAI).Result showed that:with the increase of measurement angle and LAI,the brightness temperature of both V and H polarization changed significantly;the microwave vegetation indices changed in a regular way with the increase of measurement angle and LAI;the direction of measurement affected the microwave radiation features of corn significantly;and LAI could be inverted using Normalized Microwave Polarization Difference Index(MPDI)with a frequency of 6.6GHz and a measurement angle of 60°.
