Study of detail mapping method based on independent absolute orientation with GPS RTK and ordinary camera

Aiming at the problem that image stereo mapping in close-range photogrammetry generally needs control points whose distributions are also highly required,and that detail mapping with GPS RTK can't measure smoothly at the places where GPS signals are limited,a detail mapping technique combined with GPS RTK and ordinary camera has been proposed in this paper.The difficulty of getting the photogrammetric coordinates of the camera can be reduced when using the 3Dcoordinates of GPS RTK and the relative position relationship between GPS RTK and the close-range camera to calculate the photogrammetric coordinates.It can also effectively avoid the dependence on control points in the measurement by using the absolute orientation of close-range images with picpointed coordinates of the GPS RTK target center in the image pairs.The results show that the measurement accuracy is less than 10 cm,so it can be applied to urban large scale detail mapping in the areas that GPS signals are limited,and has higher efficiency than traditional detail mapping.Based on the above,it has broad application prospects.
