An improved weighted centroid indoor positioning algorithm based on RSSI

Aiming at the problem that the existing algorithm was susceptible to environmental factors and unreasonable weight proportion,which could lead to poor positioning accuracy,an improved weighted centroid location algorithm based on RSSI was proposed in this paper.This algorithm improved weight by setting the reciprocal value of distance of RSSI as weight,effectively reduced the proportion of longer distance in the weight,thereby improved indoor positioning accuracy;for the effect of weight correction coefficient n value on the positioning accuracy,the result showed that the algorithm had the highest positioning accuracy when n=6,and the algorithm was better than the existing centroid localization algorithm and weighted centroid localization algorithm.The algorithm proposed in this paper reduced the influence of complex environment factors in the positioning process,further improved the positioning accuracy when using wireless sensor network for indoor positioning.And it shed a light on location estimation under circumstances like smart city,intelligent transportation,mine and disaster relief and some other fields.
