Design and Implementation of A SIP Based IP Video Phone

The design and implementation methods of a SIP based IP video phone are introduced. This video phone is implemented based on open protocols including SIP, SDP, RTP etc,in order to complete instant message exchange of audio and video stream,it can not only be used for IM, but also for IP phone systems. Session Initiation Protocol(SIP)and oSIP are briefly introduced,an open source SIP stack and the overall structure of SIP based IP video phone are also introduced,and the design and im- plementation of each module are presented. The result indicates this video phone conforms to the re- quirements.
