Analysis of Diagenetic Process and Dynamic Reservoir Assessment on the Lower Part of Enping Fm.,Enping Sag

The depth of the lower part of Enping Fm.,Enping Sag is over 3 800 meters now,and the intensity of diagenesis is at the B period of middle diagenetic stage.Of course,it is a basic task that the lower part of the Enping Fm.is assessed objectively.Based on the numerous observations on thin sections and SEM analyses,the diagenetic sequences of Enping Formation,Enping Sag has been created.Also,we have found out the main controlling diageneses that affect the reservoir property strongly:first,compaction is the key factor that results in the reduction of porosity;second,the denudation of the acid fluid is the main reason that causes the enhancement of porosity partly.Through the analysis on the burial history,geothermal history,and diagenetic process,the porosity evolutionary model of Enping Formation could be built.At the crucial moment,the lower part of the Enping Formation was at the late A period of the middle diagenetic stage,its mean porosity was 10% or so.At the moment,the pore throats were so narrow that the acid fluid and the oil were hard to be injected in.On the basis of all data above-mentioned,we dynamically assessed the reservoir of Enping Sag using diagenetic facies in combination with sedimentary facies.The area in the vicinity of the Well PY14-5-1 located in the south slope of the sag is less compacted,so the physical property is better than anywhere else.The area nearby the Well PY14-5-1 is the important destination of oil and gas,but the diagenetic intensity of the other areas is very high,so there is only fit for gas prospecting.
