The Functional Role of the Central Bank in the Financial Regulation System

The intrinsic characteristics of the financial industry require the central bank to exert regulations over various financial institution′s entry into and exit from the financial industry. However, the development of financial regulation systems in various countries showed that all regulations by central banks is not efficient. The errors and inefficiencies of central banks often render the regulation system ineffective. Therefore, in order to improve the financial regulation system in China, the regulation functional behaviours of the Central Bank should also be properly regulated. Only when such regulations are in place can the errors be rectified,and can the financial regulation system become more efficient.
