The Development of Natural Gas Power in China: Experience and Policy

At present, the United States, Europe and many countries in the Central America use natural gas as the primary energy generation. In China, natural gas is still mainly for civilian use. With the rapid increase in natural gas reserves and the supply amount, to develop natural gas power generation should become an important way for China to adjust the power structure. At present, total natural gas power generation installed capacity is accounting for less than 4% in China. In addition to natural resources, technology and other factors, policy support is also an important reason for natural gas power rapid progress in developed countries;China should learn the experiences from them.
