Development of a High Performance Roll-sleeve

This paper analyses the gap of technology between aluminum utmost roll-casting(high-speed roll-casting)and general roll-casting,and also points out that improving the overall mechanical property of caster roll-sleeve is the precondition to realize aluminum utmost roll-casting.By using beraloy as research object,optimizing the design of alloy ingredients,and well regulating and controlling heat treatment technology,the material of roll- sleeve is of good strength,hardness,heat conductivity,heat resistance and fatigue resistance.Experiments indicate that the newly developed material of roll-sleeve meets the requirements of high speed roll casting technology,can give strong backing to utmost roll-casting technology.
