The Catalytic Activity of Microwave Treated Non-noble Metal Oxides for Oil Fume Purification

The heating behavior of oil fume purified non-noble metal oxides under microwave irradiation, and the catalytic activity of perovskite-type and Pd catalysts, with addition of metal oxides, is examined. It is found that the catalytic properties of NiO and CoO increase highest; as the catalytic activities of palladium catalysts, with addition of BaO、NiO or ZnO,are enhanced to a lesser extent. On the contrary,there is a decline in the catalytic ability of Fe2O3 doped palladium samples. The addition of CeO2 enhanced the properties of all samples.
