Study of Preparation of Nanometer Titanium Dioxide by Microwave Assisted Homogeneous Precipitation

Nanometer anatase is prepared by microwave assisted homogeneous precipitation,using a titanferous solution and urea. The crystalline morphology and structure of TiO2 is characterized by TEM and XRD. The effects of microwave power efficiency, microwave continuity and the molar ratio of Ti4+ to urea on output and grain size are discussed. The results indicate when all other parameters are constant, the yield increases with increased microwave power, continuity of microwave and molar ratio of Ti4+ to urea, and the grain size of TiO2 changed only modestly throughout the experiments.
